Frances Durrett

Moved to Epworth Villa February 18, 1991,

from Oklahoma City.

Frances has lived in Oklahoma City since 1938.  She attended Oklahoma University and served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.

Since coming to Epworth Villa, she has led line dancing classes several times a week, and served as assistant manager of the Cosy Corner store for many years.

She was secretary of the Residents’ Association for two years, and has been recording the minutes at all Activity Committee meetings since 1995.

She is a member of the Church of the Servant and works there as a volunteer at least once a week.  She helped start the senior group, the Prime Timers, in that church.

Her present hobbies are music and dancing, but for 35 years her main hobby was training dogs.  Frances was the owner of Sundance, a border collie, who lived at Epworth Villa for six years.  Sundance was rather well-known all over the compound for his trick performances in many programs and his weekly therapy visits at Susanna Wesley Center.
